Film maker and director Greg Barnes, represented by Black Dog Films, joins me to discuss the play-off between retro aesthetic in a world of new technologies - following the release of a highly personal project ‘100ft of distance’ that showcases a love for film and sense the magic that comes from film making. A contrast from his commercial work with Clash Music Group, Ninja Tune, Sony Music Entertainment and Communion Music Group, where he recently directed music videos for Laura Misch, Dan Croll and Kamal Williams. As well as Lashana Lynch’s ‘No Time to Lie Test’ for GQ Magazine. We dive into how he maintains a style so unmistakably his, when being employed to serve music and do an artist justice.
